We offer year-round houses made of spruce logs. The wood is imported from Scandinavia. A client can order a typical house made of wood from our catalogue or one of his own design.
Structure of the
building:
a) Exterior walls made of wood
logs, windproof insulation, support structure, mineral
wool insulation, vapor barrier film, log-like paneling
on the inside
b) Ceiling over part of the ground
floor - wood logs every 80cm, boarding covering ceiling
logs, vapor barrier film, floor joists, mineral wool
between the joists, and spruce floor (28mm).
c)
Purlin and rafter wood roof or collar beam wood roof. We
prefer light roofing - tile-like coated metal sheets.
d) Interior stairs made of spruce
e) Wood doors
including locks and hardware fittings
f) EURO-type
2-panel windows, hardware fittings, shutters
optional
Wood logs are pre-impregnated with "FOBOS"
fireproof fungicide.
Insulation is ensured by mineral
wool that also provides soundproofing, which increases
comfort of living. The rate of heat infiltration is
K-0,3W/m2K. Buyers are responsible for
foundation, and heating, sewage and electric systems.
Each house takes about 4 weeks to install. We would like
to mention that our ecological materials and high
quality guarantee comfortable living and
relaxation.
With product quality in mind, TATRA-HOUSE LTD. has purchased an ultra modern wood dryer, which allows wood to be dried very precisely and adjust its wetness level according to our clients' requirements. The device is operated by a computer and lets us control each stage of the drying process. Expert probes inserted into wood ensure precise and even drying to achieve desired wetness.
Using modern finishing materials, including
vapor - permeable membrane, mineral wool or foamed polystyrene
plates makes our houses suitable for year-round use.
Using
insulation successfully decreases energy cost and sound-proofs
the house.

Exterior walls are made of wood logs (round or
semicircular), which are pre-impregnated with a fireproof
fungicide. Then more layers are installed on interior sides of the walls - windproof insulation, a special wood structure that makes a rack for mineral wool insulation, and vapor barrier. Interior walls are finished with log-like paneling, i.e. paneling that imitates placing of logs on the outside. Insulation is used in all-year-round houses, therefore summer houses have much thinner walls. Insulation usually adds 15cm. Also the roof and floors are insulated. Even in a summer house, the roof has to be insulated because it is covered with metal sheets and therefore in the summer the house could get overheated. In order to insulate the roof, a 20cm thick layer of mineral wool is used. Mineral wool also ensures soundproofing, which accounts for better comfort of living. The main elements of ceilings are wood beams placed every 80cm. On top of them there are wood boards, then joists with 10cm of mineral wool between them. Joists are covered by spruce boards 28 mm thick. The roof is either purlin and rafter or collar beam, covered with tile-like metal sheets.
